Cookies Strain — The Strain That Changed Modern Cannabis
The cookies strain changed modern cannabis and how people grow cannabis today. What was once an under ground favorite in the bay area in the beginning of the decade grew into a world wide phenomenon and helped create a whole group of growers, breeder, and consumers. Today the name “cookies” is a respected name and the original strain behind it is just as potent today as it was when first created.

At Weed Wonderland, we carry a wide range of premium cannabis products — from classic strains like Сookies to the latest genetics on the market.
Where Cookies Comes From
Cookies originally was called girl scout cookies or gsc and was created in San francisco by the company “cookies”. The creation of the strain was from crossing og kush with durban poison. This was a odd mix on paper, a large west coast indica crossed with a fast acting south african sativa. However what came out of this unique blend was a complete different type of plant; a balanced hybrid with great tasting dessert flavors, incredible visuals, and more potent then many expected. As result of its success, it won several cannabis cup awards, and also become the base genetics for numerous other strains including gelato and wedding cake, among many others.
Flavour and Aroma
The flavor profile of the cookies strain is one of the best in cannabis. The aroma of cookies is sweet, earthy, minty with a rich doughy taste that is similar to actual cookie dough. When taking a hit from cookies you will get notes of sweet vanilla and baked goods. There is a little bit of spice in the background, but the overall earthy flavor from the og is enough to keep the sweetness grounded. The finish of the smoke is clean and long lasting, much like a good piece of candy. The dominant terps of cookies include caryophyllene, limonene, and linalool. These are all very unique terpens and give a unique flavor and smell to the cookies strain. Caryophyllene is a spicy terpene. Limonene is sweet. And linalool gives the cookies strain a floral scent.

Newer Users Be Aware
As stated above, cookies can reach THC levels of 28%. As such it falls into the high potency class. Due to its hybrid nature it usually does not overwhelm users, however if you are either a newer user or have been away from marijuana for some time please do not ignore this warning. We recommend taking small hits (1-2), waiting about 20 minutes to see how you feel, and assess where you stand before using more.
