There exists another aspect to the differences between hash and skunk – aspects relating to culture and experience. Hash culture was characterized in certain ways. For example, sharing a joint of Moroccan hash over an extended period of time represented a different cadence – more conversational, less likely to render everyone silent. Hash encouraged engagement rather than withdrawal. On the contrary, high-potency skunk – particularly in inexperienced users or those with pre-existing anxious tendencies – can result in the opposite reaction.
