How to Roll a Joint Step by Step

The art of rolling a joint requires patience, attention to detail, and most importantly, time to perfect the craft. At Weed Wonderland, the majority of “poorly” rolled joints are actually caused by poor preparation prior to rolling, and not due to lack of technique in the actual process of rolling. Preparation: Grind, Dryness and Paper’s “memory”

1. Grind: The best grind size is just fluffy enough — not too fine. A powder or powder-like grind burns hot and disintegrates while large chunky pieces create air pockets and uneven burn characteristics.
2. Dryness: If your product is moist or damp, allow it to air out for a few minutes before using. If the product is too dry, place a small drop of water into a sealed container with the product inside for 10-15 minutes.
3. Preparation of paper: Bend the paper gently (for 5 seconds) around an object such as a pen to give the paper a natural curve.

Rolling the Filter

1. Creating the Filter: Fold the end of the filter accordion style so that it does not close and roll the rest of the filter into a cylindrical form.
2. Loading the Paper: Place the gummed side of the paper toward you and place the filter either to the left or the right of the paper. Load the flower in the paper as evenly distributed as possible. The flower should be heavier toward the tip of the paper to create a cone-shaped effect.
3. Evenly Distributing the Flower & Pre-rolling the Paper: Gently roll the paper back and forth to shape the flower into a cylindrical shape.
4. The Tuck: Pinch the paper where the filter is located and using both hands slide your thumbs down to the other end of the paper and then guide the non-gummed edge of the paper under the flower.
5. Sealing the Tuck: Using a small amount of moisture to wet the gum, press the paper from the filter to the tip of the paper in one quick motion. Do not allow large creases to occur in the paper.
6. Preparing the Wick: Tap the filter end lightly on your rolling surface to compress the paper. Using a pen cap to compress the tip of the paper and twist the remaining paper into a loose wick will prepare the wick.
7. Checking the Airflow: Pull a cool air flow through the pipe without lighting the flame. If you feel resistance while pulling air through the pipe gently massage the body of the pipe. If the pipe is hollow, pack the tip slightly.

How to roll a joint no filter

• Evenly pack the cannabis: In order to prevent the cannabis from burning unevenly, make sure the cannabis is evenly distributed throughout the joint.
• Don’t put too much cannabis in the joint: Putting too much cannabis in the joint makes it difficult to roll and could cause it to burn unevenly. Putting too little cannabis in the joint may make it difficult to roll and could cause it to burn too quickly.
• Roll the joint tight enough: You do not want to roll the joint too tightly because this will limit air flow, but you also do not want to roll the joint too loosely because it will fall apart.
