A wash that is 15-20 minutes will be ideal to get the best trichomes on the first wash. However, if you are continuing to wash your material you may wash for another 30–45 minutes. Many professionals will wash their material multiple times, typically their first wash will be the highest grade hash and each subsequent wash will be less as you can only extract so much from plant material.

Storage and Preservation

Proper storage of bubble bag hash is very important for overall quality and potency. The moisture content of fresh hash must be thought of as condensation, because it must be dried properly. This task is particularly challenging, and typically involves either a freeze-drying process or a controlled air-dry at a low ambient temperature. Once hash has been dried properly it can be stored in airtight containers and should be kept away from light and heat so as to preserve terpenes and keep hash from degrading. Connoisseurs typically prefer to consume their bubble hash within 6 months as optimal flavor and effects can be experienced until this time expires. However, if stored properly under the right conditions, hash can last for years while becoming more potent with time in storage, much like a fine wine or spirit.
